sounds like the parties have enteerd into an agreement dismissing the case with prejudice (means it's final)

If true, that ends the case

Darnay gave up on the intentional infliction claim and dismissed it. The only remaining claim is for libel.

The attorneys are preparing documents to give to the judge - their final arguments. I believe they have to get them in sometime this month.

Lin Wood will certainly ask for summary judgment - to have the case tossed. Darnay Hoffman will try to press forward with his libel claim.

Hopefully this case will end soon. Gone on WAY too long, IMO.

The Ramseys honestly identified Chris Wolf as a suspect in this case - - they did not accuse him of anything. Never said he was the killer. Never.

I don't know whyy the judge let this go on this long. Just don't understand.

Discovery ended - - the lawyers are putting together their papers - - Lin is going to say the case should be tossed on summary judgement and NYL will say it dshould go to trial.

Lin has to have papers to the judge and NYL by July 31. Darnay has to respond by August 31sr. Lin can respond and has until September 30th to do that. THEN he judge ...

THEN the judge can take as long as he wants - - or as short - - to decide what to do.

If he decides to end the case - and I think that is the reasonable decision - then it will be over.

If he decides to let it go to trial, it will get put on a list and could be months before it gets to court.

Justice sure is slow here....
