"A visit to Jonnie B's grave"

I went to JonBenét's grave this week. I had a few angels that I wanted to place in the tree before Easter.

There are still many, many angels in the tree; some are from the original batch I put there long, long ago, but others are new even since the last time I was there.

Some had fallen and needed to be put back up. Some were broken beyond repair so those were taken away. I washed the stone and cleaned up a bit around the grave and... I thought I would share a couple photos with the group.

One of the angels on the grave stone was especially touching - the one in the center, the fair haired angel with the blue gown. Someone had dated it - October 1st, 2002. I wondered if I knew the person who put it there.

Anyway, just in case people forget why we are here, let me share a couple photos - - one of her grave, another of a few of the angels watching over her. Another Easter passes.

There are several wind chimes in the tree - there was a soft breeze when I went and the chimes were ringing - it really was a very nice day and while looking at the small grave was so sad, the angels and music were calm and comforting.

I know many others visit the grave. There were people there when I left, had driven there from out of state to pay their respects.

Few knew JonBenét in life; many many more know of her now and so many do care. They still think of her after so many years. Her memory is a reminder of the frailty of life and our obligation to protect our children.

It is important to expose her killer so he can't hurt another child. That is why we are here now. To insist that the truth be found.

I live in West Virginia, and I haven't been able to go to JonBenet's grave. I REALLY wish I could get the oppurtunity to go there. But, I guess one day I might get the chance. But until then, REST IN PEACE SWEET JONBENET!

Sounds like a peaceful and beautiful resting place.

I'm glad the Ramsey's have this comforting place to go too. So many, many, parents of murdered children will never have that. They don't know where their childrens' bodies and probably never will.

Jams, I think what you do is beautiful. Although you never got to meet the sweet child in life, I'm sure she's happy knowing you care so much about her and finding the justice that she and her family deserve.

I 've heard that the murdered will walk around in heaven until their killer is brought to justice.

She's walking beside you jams, until the day when she can finally lie down and rest in peace.

God Bless Little Jonnie B. and all the murdered. I hope justice prevails for them all.

That is a very nice gravesite. Thank you for posting these pictures. That is what this is all about, isn't it? Justice for JonBenet Ramsey.

We visited the cemetary while on our way to Fla. Patsy took us there, and my family and I marveled at all the angels in the trees, there were notes in baggies which were read in private, her resting place place is truly a serene place. I wasn't sure I wanted to go but I am glad she took us, it gave me some closure and some peace.

I just wanted to say thank you for everyone who is respectful of her grave and has been truly touched by her spirit. May Laci and Connor have the same ...God Bless you all.........

I feel it was very thoughtful of you to tidy up the gravesite while you were there. I am sure the Ramsey's are especially appreciative of your efforts. Lord knows, they have been through enough tragedy and mindless malice from the walking braindead. It was a very nice touch indeed.

The Ramseys know that I tend to the grave as often as I can. They have told me they appreciate it. They have gone with me on occasion.

Many people have tended to that grave over the years - - placed angels in the tree, planted flowers.

As John wrote on her gravestone, she has been a gift to the world.

   jameson,

Did the Paughs or Patsy and John ever put up a headstone for Nedra?

When I visited JB's grave, shortly after Nedra died, there was only a flower marker.

The large stone is for Nedra and Don - -
You can see Beth and JonBenét's stones in the background with the tree and the bench that is just to the left of JonBenét's grave.

With Nedra already buried in the Ramsey family plot, and Don's grave committed to being in that location, it is a sad thing to observe that, if John and Patsy are themselves buried there, at least two of John's children, and Beth's own mother Lucinda, will not be allowed to join their blood family when the time comes. Thus it is that being buried next to the famous JonBenet has become a sign of status within the family, that score is being kept to show how those who are buried there were deemed to love her more in life than those for whom there is no room.

I hardly believe that before JonBenet's death, Nedra and Don, of the Paugh family name, assumed that they would be buried in a set of plots meant for Ramsey names, and paid for by anyone other than themselves.

Times have changed... there are few family cemetaries and few families are buried together now.

Melinda is married with two children of her own. If something were to happen to her now, would she be buried with her sisters or somewhere else so they could buy plots for her husband and kids?

Pam is single - if something were to happen to her now, would she be buried with her parents and neices? Or alone somewhere else?

I don't know, and I really don't think it matters. Their faith tells them that it doesn't matter where they are buried, what matters is that they will be together on the other side.
