If people appreciate the forum and want to help pay for it, that is appreciated - I just made out a check for $150 to upgrade the forum, donations do help keep the forum up. After the first of the year comes around, if the members don't pay to keep it online, it will disappear.

BUT - the forum has been paid for through 2003 and yes, I have been letting people play without paying. Just send real name and so on - same as before.

and there was a religious show on the TV---they were asking for $l,000 donations....and they also had a "message" sent from God to them, that there were going to be 3 people that would donate $lM each. They also said people didn't have to donate money---they could donate real estate....stocks and bonds.....or leave money in their will.

SO....$50 a year to pay expenses here doesn't seem outrageous.
