"A note from Patsy "

LAST EDITED ON Apr-30-02 AT 10:11 PM (EST)

to jameson and the WebbSleuths.

Just before Easter, I sent a framed print of Thomas Kinkaid's Prince of Peace to Patsy from the WebbSleuths. It was framed and carried with it an inspirational verse.

quote: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son" - John 3:16

What follows is the thank-you note I received from Patsy today.

Posters from the Ramsey discussion who would like their names and addresses passed on, please email me.

The note from Patsy:

Dear Jameson:

I was just home to Atlanta and received the beautiful Kincaid print of the face of Jesus !!  It is one of the lovliest gifts I've ever received and the fact that it came from all the sweet people who have supported us all these years makes it extra special.

I know the WebbSleuths all are probably very protective of their true identities, but I sure would like to send them each a personal handwritten thank you.  If possible, could you ask them for their addresses (snail mail...)?

Many thanks again to you, sweet friend, and all the others.  I'm keeping the face of Jesus before me and praying all the healing scriptures.  I know God has a plan for all of this and I'm resting in that peace.

       Love to you,
       Patsy

Patsy is undergoing chemo, she is not well, is quite weak; writing these notes will be difficult for her.

Under the circumstances, I feel it is fair that only members who have financially supported the forum (and helped pay for the gift), have the option of having their names and addresses sent to Patsy.

If someone has not been a member of THIS forum, posted on the Ramsey forum, I will not pass on the info. I don't think that would be right.

is great Jameson, what a really nice gift. Ditto for me what tipper said.

I have the utmost compassion for the Ramseys and wish them well. I have been reading a lot lately and want to remind Patsy that you need to hold the image of yourself as God sees you, perfect, with no illness. Keep that image in your consciousness while you undergo these treatments and look to a very special medical doctor named Dr. Day for inspiration. She is an immune system specialist who beat cancer. Her website is

Best Wishes for a much deserved recovery and God Bless.

I often lift you and your family up before our Heavenly Father. I believe He has used you in ways you could never imagine to touch others. Only when you stand before Him will you understand what you meant and how you touched others lives. Great will your reward be in eternity!

and I do not feel as if I deserve to be sent a note for that reason.

I just wanted to write in this thread as you said jams that you were going to be sending it on.

So here goes: To Patsy

" Part of me does not know what to say. I have heard about the Ramsey case by what I have read on this forum. Being within Australia, we have not heard a lot about what has happened and we are not subject to the same level of media invasion, well I don't believe anyway. So I have not been privy at first hand to the kinds of things you have gone through, although I have heard about some of them since I have "gotten to know" people here.

I read Death of Innocence and I felt sorry for you when I was reading the section about your painting at Charlevoix and that lady trying to make friends with you as she was the wife of a tabloid person and wanted a story. I feel sorry for how you would have felt by that, and how it would be easy for you to become cynical of human beings by how you have been treated. Seems that our society does not understand or pay respect to the concepts of innocent until proven guilty, and maybe it helps people in their own sick way to blame the innocent people who have been haplessly exposed to evil, as it means that the whole concept of bad things happening to good people does not need to be examined and accepted.

Sorry to ramble. I just wanted to take the chance to let you know that there are people here that feel bad for what she and her family have gone through and can accept innocence at face value.

I don't know what else to say. My mother used to tell me that we all go through hardship in life and what makes it bearable is the belief that we will meet our maker and hear those words "Well done, good and faithful servant".

Take Care and God Bless.
Myself"

Thanks jams

I must admit I don't have the same religious inclinations as Patsy. I can't see any reason why---if there is a God---he could have let this happen to JonBenet---let alone the public lynching of the Ramseys, except I suppose there is free will, and perhaps satan. I think it's extraordinary that they haven't become bitter, and can still maintain their faith. I would have given up on God....given up on humanity.

Patsy's first healing was miraculous---that message got lost along the line. To even have survived Stage 4 ovarian cancer for 7 years is extraordinary---enrollment in the study and undergoing treatment will only help others, as the docs learn what works. Early detection in a reoccurence remains to be seen---but may be the key in stopping it a second time.

One can only hope someday, the media....those that were part of the public lynching will use their power for the good of mankind (woman)...and not use it as a weapon to destroy innocent people.

I'm still optimistic that someday the Ramseys will have the answers as to who did this and why, albeit it will be little consolation.

It's fine to send my "real" address, and I would love to hear from Patsy, but as the others have said, in other words, "save your strength" for this battle.

Dear Patsy,

I'm so glad Jameson chose such a lovely gift for you. Each time you see the face of your Lord remember battles may lay before us, but the war has been won! Life is like a parade. We see what passes before us at the moment, while He sees from beginning to end.

One day what was stolen from you will be restored. You are a remarkable woman & an inspiration not only to cancer survivors, but to those of us who have lost children. Someday maybe we'll understand "Why?"

Remember, "this too shall pass." Soon this battle will also be far behind you. Keep your eyes on the prize! Take care of yourself. Be strong for Burke, John, your Daddy, & the rest of your wonderful family. Keep fighting the good fight, never give up! We will keep you in our prayers.

Love,
Sparrow

I am so sadened to know that you are once again facing more than your fare share of life's heavy burdens. Yet, I have never seen someone bear so much with such grace as yours.

I first saw you and John speak on CNN shortly after JonBenet's funeral. While experienceing the worst pain a parent cannot even imagine, you spoke to those of us parents and reminded us to keep our babies close that there is someone out there. I believed you completely and have respected you ever since.

My thoughts are with you and John and Burke and of course your beautiful JonBenet.

Much Love and Peace,

summermuse

How one person can bear so much is impossible to imagine. For months now, since reading your book, I've been struck with the strength, support, friendship and loyalty, you and John apparently share. Only recently, I've begun to come to know jams and your supporters here on this board, a very intense reminder of what support, loyalty and friendship are all about. I'm much struck with the fact that you've maintained your faith through all your challenges. Also, thinking that perhaps there's a life lesson for me in being in this place at this time. Wishing you well and the strength and smile you need each day.
--Jams, thanks for sending the gift...share info as you wish.
