"Quoted here? Upset?"

If anyone wishes for me to remove their quotes on the WebbSleuths forum, they only have to let me know and I will deal with that. I will paraphrase their words or delete, whichever I feel is appropriate under the circumstances. I have found that most prefer to have their words carried as they wrote them, they do not want to be misquoted or misinterpreted.

I am insisting that Tarie Sharp to remove every quote by me on her forum (weBsleuths) in the next 48 hours. That is something I have NEVER done before, but it is something I do now.

I sent the following to the owner of weBsleuths as well as to her server. I am sorry for the action, but I found it necessary.

I post it here so there is absolutely no question as to what is happening.

Notice of copyright infringement.

My words and posts are my own work product and are therefore protected by copyright rules. As of this moment I am directing you to take down any quotes by me that appear anywhere on your website. If you do not, I will submit a formal complaint to your server.

As of this date and time, I do not give you permission to have ANY quotes by me, nor any of my work product ANYWHERE on your site.

Please remove all quotes by me in the next 48 hours. That is by 4:00 pm est on February 14th, 2002.

This action is in direct reaction to the actions of one of your posters, Jeani Louvier, who I believe to be insane.

I am very sorry to do this as I think these petty fights weaken all the forums, but as I see it, this is partly your responsibility (for supporting and encouraging her) and I am choosing to fight back this time.

I will be posting on my forum that if anyone wishes for me to remove THEIR quotes on MY forum, they only have to let me know and I will deal with that. I will paraphrase their words or delete, whichever I feel is appropriate under the circumstances. I have found that most prefer to have their words carried as they wrote them, they do not want to be misquoted or misinterpreted.

I realize the hateful ones will now paraphrase and misrepresent my posts - - but everyone will be able to check that for themselves and in the end they will discredit their own forum.

So Be The Cause

(I finally figured out a place where that phrase almost fits!)

it really detracts from the importance of discussion groups, especially ones of an important issue such as the Ramsey case.

The petty bickering and personality wars do not help the cause, it only detracts from what is important.

Having run internet and IRC chatrooms and message forums before I have had to delete or ban people from the rooms/forums for the simple reason that they were just too much work to "babysit" so I can feel the frustration.

Personal attacks aren't what is needed, discussion is.

So let it be written, so let it be done (Rhamses)

In response to message #2

was made to the forum - I would have had to move it to a new server if I hadn't deleted a QUOTE from someone who didn't wish to be quoted here. That would have meant an interruption of the discussion. Not worth it - - so I deleted the archived thread.

I can post that the person is taking medication for mental problems, is obsessed with me and has called "jameson" her hobby. I can paraphrase her posts about how she is sure Burke is guilty. (Is that insane or what?) But she does not want to be quoted anywhere. So I had to delete HER words from a thread.

No big deal - certainly no great loss.

But the fact that the other forum owner supports such behavior.... I decided to respond and my words won't be there.

I really do think I have been patient. But the WebbSleuths are trying to help find two children and solve the murder of three others. I hate to see that effort hindered by some loon with a sick obsession.

So they won a very small battle - - one thread is deleted.

But they lost far more than they gained.
