The remains of a young Black female were found on Saturday, April 28, 2001 in a wooded area of Kansas City, MO near 59th and Kensington, see thread

Body found in Kansas City not that of missing Tacoma girl
Friday, June 1, 2001

DNA tests show that a young girl's body found in Kansas City, Mo., is not that of a youngster who disappeared in Tacoma.

Tacoma police had sent DNA samples to Kansas City police after the body was found and the case was featured on the television show "America's Most Wanted."

But blood taken from relatives of Teekah Lewis did not match DNA from the body.

Teekah's name had figured in more than 20 tips that stemmed from the "America's Most Wanted" segment earlier this month. She was 2 years old when she was reported missing from a Tacoma bowling alley in January 1999.
