LAST EDITED ON Mar-25-01 AT 10:52 PM (EST)

Thanks Ladybug for posting this info on Tracy. This incident happened approximately 40 miles from my home. The state police detective who investigated this crime also investigated an incident involving me. ( I was shot by a woman who thought I was a trespasser and a danger to her. The perp was eighty years old.) The detective revealed evidence to me that has never been made public.

1) Her car was found in the town square - locked. There was no hair, fiber, or blood evidence. She delivered a toaster to her sister and never returned home that night.

2)Her driver's license washed up in a farmer's field several miles from the location of her car, several years later.

3)He said she was a virgin - I don't know if that was medically true or just what the parents told him. He said this appparently implying there was no way she would have run away with an older guy.

4) A prisoner in Virginia confessed to the crime - unfortunately he was in prison on the night in question. He knew details of the crime that weren't public.

5) There were unsubtantiated reports of her talking to someone in the town square at 10:00 pm that night.
6) The detective went to a biker compound in Ohio to talk to some possible perps. They were uncooperative, but nothing turned up.

Incredibly a GJ has been convened this month to investigate this crime - 12 years after the incident. This case was the most frustrating case in the state cops' career. He has since retired.

I will keep you posted on any progress with the GJ if I hear of any.

I have not read anything about the GJ in this case. I was in Harrisburg, PA outside the courthouse while the GJ met. I would have loved to hear what was going on inside.

The pledge of forgiveness comes from an unlikely source in Dauphin County.

Ellen Kroh's daughter, Tracy, disappeared 17 years ago.
Ellen promised to forgive anyone who may have been involved in that disappearance. "We realize the person who did this to our daughter has been going through a difficult time in his life or it may have even been a mistake. God understands mistakes, after all we're only human."

Police say they have a list of "Persons of Interest." They released no more details. They promise to use new technologies to help in the investigation.

Tracy disappeared in August of 1989. She was 17 years old. Her car was found in the Millersburg town square, and her ID surfaced in a local creek in 1993.

Any one with information is being asked to call local police or 1-800-THE LOST.

   Where's Tracey Kroh?
Posted: Dec 1, 2006 9:43 PM (1 of 1)

In the late 1980's in the quiet, small town of Millersburg, Pa, a senior from Halifax went missing. Her name is Tracey Kroh.

I'll never forget this. Her car was found in Millersburg's square parked. This kind of thing just doesn't happen in Millersburg.

I remember my brother and I used to look for her and clues in the woods. But no luck. Before I leave this earh,
I hope someone will come foreward with some information of the werabouts of this young lady.
This has been a coldcase for like 20 years now. Or, maybe, the person responsible for her being missing will hopefully
soon have the need to let the truth out before he meets his maker.

If somebody out there knows anything, please contact the Pennsylvania State Police.

NOTE: I copied and pasted this post from Cold Cases web site above link.
I feel certain the poster would want this information distributed as far out as possible.
