First - this is the meaning of SBTC (according to this poster)

Suspect's last name is Skinflint and his wife's name is Betsy. They have Two Children - - SBTC

The man, Skinflint, is seen online ina photo that may have been taken in Atlanta.

In the photo, there is a sign that may be a sign for a restaurant and it says "The Hungry Dog". According to the poster, that was the source for the "stray dog" remark in the ransom note.

The man is wearing some black footwear in the photo and the poster theorizes they COULD be Hi-tec boots. Can't tell from the photo but they COULD be.

In the fall of 1996, just a few months before the murder, Mr. Skinflint was in Phoenix Arizona and there are golf courses there and John Ramsey plays golf so they might know each other.

Maybe John Ramsey played gold with Skinflint and bet his bonus on a game and Skinflint lost and so that became the motive for the murder and the reason that figure was in the note.

When Mike Skinflint writes his name, the poster thinks the M looks like the M in the ransom note but isn't sure about the S and the K.

A couple other points - - Skinflint once worked with a man named Johnny McReynolds who has two eyes and a nose and a mouth and could be related to Bill McReynolds who had the same features.

Skinflint liked - - let's say he liked line dancing - a popular pasttime in 1996 in the south. We don't know if John Ramsey liked to line dance but we know Skinflint did it all the time and was even on TV sometimes. If John was into linedancing, John might have wanted to know this man and they could have met through that.

OK guys - - your call - - do I carry this to Beckner and ask himto take a serious look at suspect Skinflint?

Is there ANY proof whatsoever Skinflint even knew the Ramseys, was ever in Boulder, or would consider murdering JonBenet over a golf bet?

This is exactly the kind of "tip" I feel necessary to pass over - I tell the person that if they want to investigate more, it's their project. But I don't give this kind of tip to anyone. I don't think my credibility would be what it is if I passed on this kind of stuff.

OH, for what it's worth, the real Skinflint is a sports figure. Someone famous.

I don't believe that the SBTC would be something like described here. If Skinflint and Betty have 2 kids, maybe I'd buy it if their kids are Tommy and Charlie (???). But otherwise, it seems silly.

As far as a pro-athlete murdering a small innocent child.....??? That doesn't sound too promising to me. Golf? Anyone calm enough to golf I can't imagine being wound up enough to commit murder. The murderer was even insane or obsessed, whichever. IMO

This may be one of the five dumbest theories I have read over the years, so I would have definitely put it up for its entertainment value.

The "SBTC" translation is bad, but not bad enough, creatively speaking, to make the bottom five list.
