Robert Durst


Robert Durst a real estate heir, was arrested in Pennsylvania in 2001 for shoplifting and then the murder of a man in his apartment building in Galveston, Texas .

Robert Hurst resided in Eureka, California from 1995-2001, where he owned a home nearby and was known to be in the vicinity of Karen Mitchell's workplace and also a homeless shelter where Karen was a volunteer. He also resembles the man in the vehicle that witnesses decribed at the time Karen was last seen .

Robert Durst had many addresses and is also being investigated regarding the disappearance Kristen Modafferi who disappeared from the bay area.

Robert Hurst's young wife, Kathie Hurst also vanished...(New York)

   Just a side note that Heather Carpenter also resided in Eureka, CA when she was younger. For those of you who don't know the geography, Eureka is about 2.5 to 3 hours away from Redding (which is inland), on the coast. There is one highway (299) that goes from one town to the other. In fact, where the police have focused in the Carpenter investigation (Keswick) is right off that highway.

Lots and lots of very rugged, mountainous terrain (and lakes and rivers) between Redding and Eureka on Highway 299.
