"National Enquirer story"

Enquirer described Patsy as being in "failing health" - - from what I have been told by the Ramseys themselves, that is not so.

The tabloid cruelly described Patsy's loss of hair and weight gain from the cancer therapy as a "downhill slide" that is "shocking."

I think several posters who have had - - and are currently having, such chemo might take offense at the description. But what else would we really expect from the Enquirer. They spin cruel against the Ramseys every opportunity they get.

The tabloid described how the chemo "caused her colored chestnut-brown hair to fall out, and the returning stubble is tinged with gray." and added that "Her weight is approaching 180 lb.lbs." "She's forty-five but looks sixty."

Meow!

The tabloid wrote that Patsy was "recently tipped that cops are beefing up evidence against her and husband John."

I don't think that is true - - it seems the cops aren't doing anything - - the rumor mill run by unnamed sources is.

They reported that Patsy "...collapsed to her knees, screaming, 'I can't take it anymore."

I have met Patsy - spoken to her a few times and she is a strong woman - - I don't believe this is true. I envision a different quote coming from her - - not this one.

The Enquirer incorrectly describes Patsy's paintings and then has their consultants spin mean...

For example, "In one of them, Patsy painted all the people she feels are out to get her.... In the chilling painting, Patsy's villains are arrayed around her Boulder house - pointing accusingly at it ...."

I saw the painting they are talking about - - this isn't a true description.

The experts seem to agree that "The paintings can definitely be an indication that Patsy is collapsing and unconsciously expressing guilt."
Remember "famed psychiatrist Judianne Densen-Gerber"???? She is in the story - - eeewwwww - - she says, "... her paintings show she's obsessed with the killing," The tabloid reports Patsy's "... mind appears mired in the events of her daughter's murder, as if stuck in mental quicksand."

Well, gee, like is that abnormal or shocking?

The tabloid is really sickening to read this week - - I will have to buy it for the records but - - - if you really need to read it all, bring a barf bag.

They go into the recent story that the Hi-Tec shoes belonged to Burke - - denied by family...

They say the palm print belongs to Melinda.

And the hair in the blanket, they say, was analyzed by the FBI and was a body hair from Patsy Ramsey.

Interestng, but I think we are talking different hairs.

Obviously the reporters have been following the forums, they included the forum find (from PMPT) that Fleet White said, "What would you say if I told you the Ramseys owned Hi-Tec shoes?"

Nice guys, the tabloid says in their story, "But the Hi-Tec boot print is simply not connected to the case...."

The story goes on with Lin Wood talking about the unidentified DNA found in JonBenét's underwear, the handwriting on the ransom note and stun gun injuries. But the tabloid attempts to dismiss that - - they say Boulder police chief Mark Beckner insists the stun gun theory is invalid (no explanation for the marks) and says the DNA is too contaminated to make a clear identification. (Thought thye continue to take samples to test and compare - - go figure)

The Enquirer says a law enforcement official said, "WE BELIEVE SHE WROTE IT." (the ransom note)

That however is not what the reports say - - still, that doesn't stop the tabloid from reporting it - - after all, Steve Thomas said he thought Patsy wrote it - - right?

The tab reports that the FBI has ONGOING involvement in the case. (I don't think so, guys)

The tabloid describes one source as a "veteran investigator" and quoted that person as saying, "The cops believe the Ramseys have always been the prime suspects and that has not changed. They try to watch Patsy to see what she says and does. They believe sooner than later she is going to start talking."

Gee guys - - 6 years later, what do you think "sooner" means????

Their sales must be down....and nothing else to splash across their front pages---so they went back to Ramsey. I read it in the checkout lane-----they had an arrow pointing to a front basement window, (like this was suppose to be new evidence found there?)....but nothing in the story that's new.

The pictures of Patsy show she isn't this vain beauty queen, like some on the BPD would have us believe. She went out without a wig, and her hair very short. Why don't they do something decent for the women of this country, and write about Patsy's miraculous survival all these years from deadly ovararian cancer? Since they always focus on Patsy as killer, I think the writers and the tabloid are women-haters--JMHO, of course.

May I ask a dumb question?

Is Patsy really 180 lbs now? Please answer "yes" or "no", not "meow".

180? I don't know - - how would anyone but Patsy and her doctor know?

Is she overweight? Yeah - - but let's face it - most 45 year olds don't have the bodies they had at 17, right? Add a couple kids, a hysterectomy, cancer, chemo, some genetics and...

what difference does it make?

It makes no difference. I just want to know. IMO Patsy was beautiful at 40, but of course we all age.

Next month the Ramseys will be on TV and we can all see for ourselves how she looks.

I don't expect either of them to look like teenagers or as young as Melinda and JAR. I think we should expect them to look like mature adults who had had a few hard times.

"...mature adults who had a few hard times..."
When I think of Sunsign Capricorn, Patsy (12/29 birthdate)is the example that comes to my mind. Capricorn is the sign ruled by Saturn. They both (sign & planet) represent "hard work" or difficult situations.
John on the other hand, (a Sagittarius, born 12/7), does not bring to mind as much suffering as Patsy. He seems to take it all with less emotion. Not that he is cold or unfeeling, but, like most men, less emotional than women.
"a few hard times" is an understatement.

edit: Sam Sheppard Sr. shared 12/29 birthdate...another example of Capricornian "difficult situations".

Patsy is great. No trace of cancer, feeling peppy, and not
approaching 180 pounds.

   Mikie
I have spent some quality time with John and Patsy and she looks fine!!!! No way is she near 150 #. She looks great. She is not doing bad at all.
I saw that rag today while at Meijers and I was appalled. They are both doing well.

writers of the article? I would expect them to look like Brad Pitt. Surely they aren't balding, or fat?

Rumor has it that the Enquirer story this week had done very poorly at the newsstands (based on early returns). The whisper is that perhaps the public is finally bored with the story.

I don't think so - - but I think they would like the truth and not just the BORG spin.

I think the two programs expected to air by the end of the year will do well. Because they will show people new things and get them thinking - - the mystery remains unsolved - - the investigation needs to go on.

I thought the story was poorly written, and the fact that few sources were quoted by name is telling.

At the end of the day, all they did was pick on a poor woman for being bald during chemotherapy and overweight.

I bought it this time just to see what it was all about--total trash.
