CIRCUMSTANCES

On November 3rd, 1992, Mohamad Hisham Dabbagh (Pictured Left) picked up his two-year-old daughter, Nadia Alexandra Dabbagh, for an extended visit. The child and her mother, Dabbagh's divorced wife, were living in MEDINA, Ohio. Dabbagh was permitted to take the child to Florida on the condition that she be returned to the mother's custody by December 1st. Dabbagh did not return the child to her mother. Instead, he abducted her to Saudi Arabia. He later took the child to Syria, where he left her with members of the Muslim Brotherhood. U.S. authorities issued warrants for Dabbagh's arrest for child abduction. Dabbagh is also wanted by Syrian authorities on charges of kidnapping and other offenses. Syrian authorities have issued an order granting custody of the child to her mother.
Mohamad is currently living and working in RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA

1. "Dabbah Resolution US Senate"
In response to message #0

   The Dabbagh resolution, U.S. Senate

Monday, November 09, 1998

U.S. Sen. Charles S. Robb, R-Va., introduced the following resolution, which was approved unanimously by the Senate on Oct. 21.

Resolution: Expressing the sense of the Senate that Nadia Dabbagh should be returned home to her mother, Ms. Maureen Dabbagh.

Whereas Mr. Mohamad Hisham Dabbagh and Mrs. Maureen Dabbagh had a daughter, Nadia Dabbagh, in 1990.

Whereas Maureen Dabbagh and Mohamad Hisham Dabbagh were divorced in February 1992.

Whereas in 1993, Nadia was abducted by her father.

Whereas Mohamad Hisham fled the country with Nadia.

Whereas the governments of Syria and the United States have granted child custody to Maureen Dabbagh and both have issued arrest warrants for Mohamad Dabbagh.

Whereas Mohamad Dabbagh has escaped to Saudi Arabia.

Whereas the United States Department of State believes Nadia now resides in Syria.

Whereas Maureen Dabbagh, with the assistance of missing children organizations, has been unable to reunite with her daughter.

Whereas the Department of State, the Federal Bureau of investigation and Interpol have been unsuccessful in their attempts to bring Nadia back to the United States.

Whereas Maureen Dabbagh has not seen her daughter in over five years.

Whereas it will take the continued effort and pressure on the part of the Syrian officials to bring this case to a successful conclusion:

Now, therefore, be it resolved:

That it is the Sense of the Senate that the governments of the United States and Syria immediately locate Nadia and deliver her safely to her mother.

2. "Dad laundered money for arms deals"

Mother writes:

December 6, 1998
I continue aggressive efforts into investigating the abduction and captivity of Nadia, being overwhelmed at the political quagmire surrounding her plight.

I have received documents that are marked "confidential".

I am indebted to the sender. Still, the contents serve only to further overwhelm me as I learn more and more about the man that stole my child. I am left speechless. The documents have been confirmed as legitimate. The contents reveal: "...spoke with the Kuwaiti embassy and was told that the Dabbagh family was wanted for "war crimes" committed during the the Persian Gulf War.....The embassy also said that they had a treaty with the U.S. allowing them to pick up suspected war criminals and that they would like to pickup Hisham Dabbagh.....and that his family had made political and diplomatic connections, which, when taken with all the other information we had, was very troubling".

When the Secret Service came to question me, I thought it was to help with Nadia. I was wrong and it took only a short time being "debriefed" by them to understand they were more interested in my ex-husband than in Nadia. I was heart broken. I did not want to hear anymore about how dangerous or how bad my ex-husband is. I want my precious Nadia home and safe in my arms.

It appears that my ex-husband was laundering money in the U.S. for arms deals. Joint bank accounts an safety deposit boxes in OH, FL, TX and IN with individuals of the Sabai family from Saudi Arabia (Syrians with Saudi citizenship) seems to support this notion to some authorities. This Muslim Brotherhood group sure does get around.

Will it never end? Is it not enough that I live with my child's abduction and captivity. Is it not enough that I have been denied access to her and her to me for 6 years. Must I endure the knowledge that my child was conceived by a man who may very well be a war criminal, a man who used me and Nadia to serve his own political purposes.
