"Kane's grand jury"

The subject of the grand jury came up today - - who was in charge.

While the DA was LEGALLY the one in charge, DA Alex Hunter had let Special Prosecutor Michael Kane run that show.

The winess list was put together by Michael Kane and his mates - - and they didn't call the Ramseys. Why? Because they didn't want the grand jury to hear what the Ramseys really had to say. Instead they edited tapes of interviews and showed those -- hardly fair.

They did call in some witnesses - like LHP and JAR and Melinda and Burke, Susan Stine and her son Doug... but they did NOT want the ramseys there - - or Lou Smit.

Lou Smit fought IN COURT to go in. Kane was FURIOUS - - he fought tooth and nail to keep Smit out - - but he failed.

I heard Donald Foster was going to be allowed in - - and I requested to go in as well. I have more than one letter of rejection from Mr. Mike Kane. He sure didn't want ME in there. But in the end it didn't matter - - I went on 48 Hours and discredited Donald Foster totally in this case. Between his letter to Patsy saying she was innocent - and his belief that I was the killer - he was discredited and did NOT go before the GJ.

Long time ago, Frank Coffman was posting as "Masked Man" - and he and I were - - - how shall I put this - - not friends. He was in contact with Don Foster and thought the man was totally credible. He was furious that I went forward and told the truth.

I have no regrets for what I did. None.

Kane tried to railroad the Ramseys with his special grand jury. He failed, thank God.

And one day everyone will understand exactly what happened there. It's a great story - - one not yet told.

Lou Smit needs to write a book. Oh, the things he could tell all of us!

Colorado is new to the Grand Jury system and the officials did not want to have any 'runaway grand juries' ie, grand jury meeting on its own and acting independently, so Colorado created a very 'controlled' grand jury system.

I second that motion on Lou Smit's book... and I don't particularly care if his English is not all that well polished. His skills and his integrity are fine.

Lou Smit is fascinating and I admire his integrity so much. I wish someone would tell the whole story, in a way that leaves the reader with an understanding of the true dimensions of the tragedy of the Ramsey case.

I would love to hear this story. I had hoped searching for the truth would mean putting ALL THE CARDS on the table ... but Kane fought hard to keep the truth out! What kind of justice is that for JonBenet?

Do you think he will write a book someday?

is not writing a book - - believe me i have pushed for him to, but he won't. Maybe if it is solved... many people don't feel it is right to put out a book until it ends - - Sherry Keene-Osborn felt that way. Others do as well.
