I see the similarities - - the t's continuing into the next letter and the overhang on the capital R and the little curve at the bottom of the t - - and I think we have all seen those similarities in MANY samples that have been posted.
I would remind people that we are all taught to write in similar ways and the handwriting experts say it is the DIFFERENCES that matter.
I said before that I don't think Colfax could have written the note - - lots of similarities - - but he constantly capitalizes his N's and A's even when they should be lower case letters.
Well, I don't think Patsy could have written the note either - - too many differences - - she couldn't keep it up for 3 pages anymore than Colfax could have.
Patsy starts her a's by making a circle like an egg on end. The RN writer - - his circles are like eggs lying on their side. Patsy starts her c's with an upward stroke while the RN writer starts with a stroke to the left.
It is the differences, not the similarities, that make or break the analysis - - and Coffman, Liebman, Wong and Miller all failed to report on the differences.
( I won't mention that they did NOT have proper samples to do the comparison to begin with.)
What we have here is a layman's attempt to identify Patsy as the author - - and, like the "experts" who worked for Darnay Hoffman, he failed.

did F&P White give handwriting samples?

No one can be sure who gave samples, or what samples were actually checked by handwriting experts. I haven't heard from anyone I trust that F&P gave samples and they were cleared as possible authors of the note.
I think the BPD should be honest and tell us who was checked and how they scored. That goes for DNA, handwriting and polygraphs. If I was innocent and submitted to those tests and they proved I was innocent - - I would WANT the cops to publicly clear me and say why!

if I remember correctly, FW demanded his name be cleared quite loudly at first, but I don't think it had a thing to do with samples he gave. He certainly protests alot about this case, really gets bent out of shape, but why? He's never said anything about wanting to join the R's in their search for the killer, and clearly has no desire to help the authorities do that, so what is it he's so angry about? I have not heard/read/seen anything that would indicate FW or his wife, are the least bit rattled by the murder of their daughter's bestfriend. Jeez, you'd think the Fernie's, White's and Hoverstock would be heading up the Boulder chapter of Friends of JonBenet's! They all saw the corpse firsthand, and if THAT'S not motivation to help, what is? Doesn't it strike you odd that FW and JR had a well publicized falling out, on the day before the funeral? Are the Ramsey's suspicious of FW? I would like to see his handwriting, and his wife's too.

Alex Hunter found his behavior at the funeral very odd. Fleet White went through about two diffent households while he was in Georgia. Why? what was he so unhappy about? Family members were very frightened by his behavior as well.

didn't the R's find it odd that he just wandered thru their house that morning? I've never read in their words that they asked/allowed him to do so. And, I wonder if the R's are afraid of FW now, and if they suspect he killed their baby? Would they cover for FW if they thought their own lives were now in jeopardy? Do you think the scene in GA was about FW threatening to kill JR?

The analysis is garbage. Period. I have seen enough documents in my career to determine that even the similarities are not correct. And the differences are extraordinary. As I have written repeatedly, a few characters are similar to Patsy's and some are more similar to John's, and others differ from both and match a certain suspect. Even the claim of the person using a left hand is not certain, though I tend to agree having conducted experiments. Indeed, at this point in time it appears the killer used his left hand in crimes.

Can we all chip in to buy Jameson a decent scanner? My Epson Perfection 1240U does a wonderful job and cost only $200.00. The samples of John's printing she's provided on the other thread and the reproduction of Coffman's comparisons just don't make it, they are just too crudely reproduced to mean much.
JT doesn't always capitalize his A's,although I don't think he is responsible for Jonbenet's murder,I can't say his writing is less of a match than Patsy's.

<a href="http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/arkansas/1023/art/rtk1.jpg";>http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/arkansas/1023/art/rtk1.jpg<;/a>
