So much for the BORG BS that there was some record of earlier problems in the house...

Q. Who is the pediatric expert that thought that there may have been some corporal punishment
inflicted on JonBenet for repeated bed wetting?

A. Dr. Krugman.

Q. Steve Thomas: What was interesting is that we found no history or pathology or evidence to
indicate that John Ramsey had any untoward relationship or discipline with his children. Is that true?

A. I've never thought that.

Q. I found Patsy Ramsey to be a complex person on many levels but there had been no reported
history of any abuse in the house; is that true?

A. What are you reading from, Mr. Wood?

Q. A CNN chat transcript, CNN April 14th, 2000, Author Steve Thomas tells his story.

A. Can you reread for me the Patsy Ramsey section?

Q. Be glad to. I found Patsy Ramsey to be a complex person on many levels but there had been no
reported history of any abuse in the house. Is that true?

A. Yeah, we had no reported incidents of any abuse in the house.

Q. You talk about in your book that JonBenet was an incredible little kid, right?

A. Are we on the last page?

Q. I think it's -- it's page 353 of your hardback?

A. Right.

Q. You talk about something that sounds a little bit like something I read in Perfect Murder, Perfect
Town about the sun and the rhythm of the earth beneath her feet. "She was an incredible little girl who
loved to be tickled. Ms. America was the leastshe could have been." Am I reading that correctly?

A. Yes.

Q. Do you give her parents any credit for that in terms of bringing her up for those six years?

A. Certainly.

Here it is--Lin Wood encouraging Thomas to face the enormity of his hot headed actions. The Ramseys, accused of being terrible, abusive and shallow parents, managed to raise a wonderful little girl, for which Steve Thomas never gave them credit--until Wood helped him face facts.

Steve's fans love to accuse Wood of being a money grubbing amoral attorney, and what we see here is a lawyer with a spiritual motivation for his work.

What a wonderful way to end the depo.

I wish Lin had more time for questions - - and I wish he had pushed a bit more on this and gotten Thomas to admit not only that they had no REPORTS of abuse, but also no EVIDENCE of any abuse as well.

Thomas played the semantics game very well.

While I'm sure these abuse allegations were an ordeal for the parents to be saddled with, I rather doubt that anyone ever took them seriously. Oh, I guess those who believe that Earth is being invaded by space aliens believed the abuse allegations, but such stupid people really are beneath being noticed.

Unfortunately, many people did take it seriously - - Wasn't it Bill O'Reilley who spoke about John having sexually assaulted JBR before - - how he needed to be taken away? I would have to review the tapes but I am sure it was him - - - the media ran with it for a while and some people who heard it never got over it.
