My access to cable tv is severely limited tonight but I just can't stand the ignorance that persists. Why am I still hearing about footsteps in snow and hidden mazelike house and refusal to cooperate and hiring PR people.

Because they have to give themselves their excuse for having PERSECUTED these people for 10 years. NOW that they might have to eat crow, they need to explain and justify why.

How low will they go? Elsewhere some idiot said they heard Patsy had numerous affairs during her marriage to John and maybe one of her lovers was Karr, whom she rejected. In revenge, he killed JonBenet.

I want to barf.

Former Petaluma substitute teacher nabbed for JonBenet murder
Published: Wednesday, Aug 16, 2006

A former Petaluma substitute school teacher terminated for possessing child pornography was arrested Wednesday morning in Thailand as a suspect in the highly publicized murder of JonBenet Ramsey in Boulder, Colo., in 1996.

John Mark Karr, 41, served for 11 days as a substitute teacher for Petaluma City Schools from Dec. 8, 2000 to April 2, 2001, said Steve Bolman, the district’s deputy superintendent of business and administration.

Karr taught at several district schools, and in 2001 was charged with five counts of possessing child pornography. His teaching credential was suspended and then revoked for violating the education code, according to KGO-TV in San Francisco. He is still wanted in California for failing to appear on those charges.

Karr and his wife at the time, Laura, married in 1989 and lived in Alabama before moving to Petaluma in 2000. He began teaching in Petaluma and Napa, and Petaluma City Schools received no complaints about his work. Laura Karr filed for divorce in 2001, after he was charged with possessing pornography.

The thing is, I honestly don't understand how they could have been so sloppy about it, how come they were so stupid? naive? couldn't come up with anything better to talk about than the parent/s/family? I don't KNOW because I've NEVER understood it AT ALL. To me it's always seemed so obvious. I know that has been the case with pretty well all of our members. There just is no satisfactory explanation. I can only be ever so thankful it wasn't me and mine on the wrong end of this case. As it is, we have all taken more than our fair share of abuse. I've been fighting back and became SO DISGUSTED that I no longer cared about "their" feelings, just as they didn't care about mine or the Ramseys or the other people they were so mean and hateful toward. THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST UNUSUAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ME. I've commented on it so many times to friends and family and been unable to truly express it so that they can come close to understanding.

My gawd. The brother doesn't know when Karr married (1989) and doesn't know if he ever was in trouble with the law (he was) nor that Karr was living in Thailand.

Says he was researching child murders in order to write a manuscript and that's how he got dragged into the case.

Right.

Doesn't sound like he knows much about his brother.

Knows he has 3 children - maybe 12or13, and each one decreasing by a couple of years in age.

Didn't know he was in Thailand.

Doesn't know if he's divorced.

Thinks he'll be exonerated.

Tried to communicate with Klaas - thinks that's what's made him look suspicious.

Obviously, the brother doesn't know anything.

I've been watching MSNBC, and their reporting has been very favorable to the Ramseys.

Did I just hear Spitz say that the blood in the panties could be JonBenét's - after all she was vaginally assaulted? Where has he been for the past how many years? How could they invite someone like him on the show?

Did anyone else hear Mark Fuhrman?

You'll notice most of those who have been invited are on the opposing side, not the Ramsey side. They are all tip-toing around this new information.

Yep, I heard Fuhrman but I'll be darned if I can remember what he said.

I've been lost in cyberspace. The forum went down right after I posted the news earlier this afternoon.

My knees are still shaking from hearing this today. How many times in the last ten years have we heard an arrest was pending??? To see it become real is fabulous and surreal.

I'm told we may know of this person. I haven't confirmed details...but, will post when I find out more.

Hi Mame! This is OEJ. Margoo was kind enough to log me in under her account. No password.

I thought I was going to pass out when I heard. I will barely sleep for the next few days, I'm sure. I'm at the computer, in front of the tv, with plenty of paper and a pen taking notes.

It's very exciting. What everyone has been praying for.

Mame, I've been seeing your name mentioned for years, and I have read some of your old posts. Nice to "see" the real Mame here on such a momentous occasion.

This is what the guy was doing during the time in question:

-Real estate (1981-1996) Privately owned rental business. Restoration of mansions from the Queen Victoria Era.

-Primary School Teacher (1996-2001 and Currently) in some of the most prestigious schools in the United States,
working with children from high profile families. I have taught all classes to elementary students including English,
Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies, History, and Computer Technology. I have taught Physical Education with
large groups of 100 to 150 students, ages 5 to 10. I have worked with large groups of children in school plays.

Whether or not the evidence supports his guilt in this case I worry about all those other children he had access to. Not to mention his trips to Thailand. I noticed in a resume posted elsewhere when listing all the foreign countries he has visited, he doesn't mention having been there.

Hey Tipper! I'm not Margoo. I'm OEJ. Margoo lent me her account because I can't remember my old password. Jams still hasn't got back to me to reset my account.

I think the things Karr has left out is a little interesting, too. If this is the guy, there are more victims, is my guess. He sure did move around a lot and went in and out of the country quite often.

He doesn't appear to like placing dates with locations in his resumés. MSNBC has reported him as having been in Boulder twice now. I'm still looking for his footsteps. I just thought it was interesting that he was into remodeling older homes at the time.

Whew! I'm glad I finally have access here. Actually, I was here before anyone else but I couldn't post because my password was my old one (from when I lived in Florida) and Jameson never reset it. Before hubby got his turn on the computer tonight, I was emailing Don back and forth.

What unexpected news. That's all I can say. I can't wait to see how all of this unfolds. I'm hearing conflicting stories about the DNA. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm wondering where in Alabama he lived.

I also thought about the poster in Alabama a few months ago that wanted me to call her on a pay phone. Wonder if she really DID have some information to pass on to LE?

I too wonder if he's been posting here at all. I'm trying to figure out who's missing.

I also wonder who in Boulder has been assisting LE with the communications.

We know something happened in 2001 (pornography charges), but notice how he made a big change in 1996 too, leaving 15 years of "real estate rental and restoration (?)" to privately teach after how many years since he got his teaching degree? Did something happen?

Yeah, I want to hear about his life.

If it is him, it will be a nice bit of irony for HIS FAMILY to be scrutinized and harrassed from morning 'til night, as the media digs for information, won't it!

Actually I nearly always feel very sorry for the families of killers. Bundy's mother, Ridgeway's wife, none of them deserved to have been so duped.

I am also sadly surprised that so many who claimed they were only interested in "Justice for JonBenet" aren't even willing to wait to see what evidence there may be against this guy before deciding it is all a plot cooked up by the Ramseys and their lawyers.

I'm stunned. I must admit, I have had my doubts about the innocence of the Ramseys over the years. Crow tastes horrible!

I can't find the right word - congratulations is not appropriate - but I am impressed by this group's ability to focus on the facts of a case. You were correct.

God bless Patsy, who is now with Jon Benet in heavan.
