For example, unfamiliar adults usually will not ask them for directions or help. controls most of what we see on television, and so many kids get kidnapped everyday, that with all this coverage, our eyes are open to it now. Like with the Ramseys and their participation with paegents...it blew up after they found out JonBenet's involments and made it an ugly thing. I remember all the talk shows and footage~! <BR>So yea like kidnapping, it was always there. It was always very bad, and I hope all that is stated above will help.

Of these , its estimated that from 200-300 are steriotypical kidnappings where a child is gone overnight , is killed , is transported a distance of 50 miles or more , or where the perpetrator intends to keep the child permanetly. FBI data shows an estimated 43 to 147 stranger abduction homicides of children annually between 1976 and 1987.<BR>

The number of children killed by stranger kidnappings has actually been declining. It is more like 100-200 a year.<P>

As you know, I am not part of that team - - never have been.<P>Maybe the Ramseys will go themselves. I think that would be great.
