Yes freaky is the word I'd use. The 'fancy' T in Garys letters were written with his 'proper' hand obviously. If the ransom note was written in the 'wrong' hand, it would be very difficult to get that 'swirly topped' T. Try it. Overall, the two samples look frighteningly similar. I think the killer would have made some attempt to disguise his handwriting....perhaps by writing with his 'wrong' hand? We know he probably had a long time to write it.

Both letters show a lot of arrogance.
