Perhaps it is strange that it would be forgotten, however they might well want to forget it and that might aid in its being forgotten.<P>Also, often an item is described as 'forgotten' when in fact it was simply 'not then recalled' or 'not then felt relevant and therefore not mentioned'. Later it might be described in a manner such as 'oh, I forgot about that' which more means: I remember the incident and remember the date that it took place, but since I did not place any great emphasis on it, I did not think to mention it at the time'
