JONBENET AGAIN: Whenever national television is short on crime and
court realism, they trot out another documentary about the JonBenet
Ramsey murder case.

CBS' 48 Hours Investigates attempted - and mostly failed - to put a new
focus on events three weeks ago. Now cable's Court TV offers JonBenet:
A Second Look (6 tonight).

Referred to by the network as "a riveting documentary," the
unpreviewed hour offers a look at the case through the eyes of homicide
investigator Lou Smit, the subject of several previous local and national
documentaries.

As most know, Smit has offered an ongoing scenario contending
JonBenet was killed by an intruder and that her parents, John and Patsy
Ramsey, were not involved in the crime.

Court TV spokesperson Leigh Farris says the production crew and Smit
were allowed "complete access to the house" in an effort to allow Smit to
prove his point.

"All this material is original," Farris added.

The documentary was filmed in summer 2001. No reason was given why
it was not aired earlier.
