Here is what Steve Thomas said about the enhanced 911 tape in a chat:

I heard the 911 tape. repeatedly, as did the other detectievs. the consensus was unaminous, as supported by the enhancement -- there is a 3rd voice on the tape, appears to be Burke (unless there was someone else present who ahs never been identified . . .)

So, Thomas says there is a "3rd voice", but clearly Burke's voice hasn't been identified. If that were the case, Thomas wouldn't have slipped up by saying that it could be someone else. So, Thomas hears a noise that is higher than the other "voices", and declares it to be Burke.

What I would like to know, is, has the "enhanced" tape ever been heard by anyone who wasn't trying to turn the noises on the tape into incriminating statements or proof of lies by John and Patsy? Betcha we all know the answer to that.

My personal view on this is the BPD should make the tape public. The police have allowed the existence of this tape to sway public opinion against the Ramseys. It is their "smoking gun" that proves the Ramseys are liars, and, therefore, killers. (Standard prosecution technique.) There is no reason to keep it secret, except to hide it from the public. The Ramseys have said in no uncertain terms that Burke was not up at that time. Numerous individuals are publishing on the internet that Burke was involved in JonBenet's murder, and are using the existence of this tape as "proof" of his involvement.

The FBI, CBI, and Secret Service found nothing on the tape. It is time for the BPD to put this matter to rest. It is time for the BPD to quit persecuting the Ramseys. It is time for the tape to be made public.
