Yesterday I had opportunity to ask another gastroentologist about the pineapple in the "proximal small intestine" of JonBenét.<P>I said "JonBenét's stomach was empty of food material, but her small intestine contained food material. The autopsy report says that pineapple was in the 'proximal portion of the small intestine'. What would you make of that, in a forensic sense?"<P>He said "The proximal small intestine described would be the duodenum. I'd say she ate the pineapple within 2 1/2 to 4 hours of her death." <P>I've gotten some other medical opinions in the past couple of years. The longest amount of time from eating pineapple to death, based on the location of the pineapple in the "proximal portion" was 5 hours, and that was from a forensic pathologist. <P>How does this gastroentologist's opinion affect your theory of the crime?
