Maybe John just forgot, but maybe it was carried in the house by the killer - - a box found in the windowless room with the body.Anyone know anything about a "Romeo and Juliet" box?

It's new to me. I searched with Yahoo and found this box:
costs only $13.50. Notice the heart shapes are similar to the heart on her hand.

http://www.thelairofdarkness.com Google search engine pulls up a page on this Wiccan/Gothic/Metal/New Age gift shop website that features a Romeo & Juliet box: http://www.thelairofdarkness.com/prod.itml/icOid/3202 (looks like the one Jameson has already pictured above) Lots of boxes for various treasures and Wiccan paraphernelia.I don't know if this is something that would be more readily found at a Wiccan site or not. It is advertized in a group of boxes that are used for little treasures, keepsakes, tarot cards and Wiccan paraphernalia.

I saw a site that made purses out of cigar boxes...one was called a Romeo and Juliet cigar box. Maybe that is a cigar company?

This is interesting: On Nov. 15, 1996, Ransom beat out Romeo & Juliet at the box office:http://www.uwrf.edu/student-voice/pastissues/issues/1996/1996nov15/971010.html "Ransom" strikes it rich at the box office Lynn Elber AP Entertainment Writer LOS ANGELES (AP) The Mel Gibson kidnap thriller "Ransom" debuted in first place at the weekend box office, earning $34.2 million in one of the best three-day openings in movie history. The Ron Howard-directed film, starring Gibson as a business tycoon who takes on his son's kidnappers, became No. 9 on the list of movies with the biggest three-day debuts. "Ransom" is just behind "Interview with the Vampire" (1994) and its $36.4 million, according to Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc., which tracks ticket sales. "Ransom" also marks Gibson's best opening. "Batman Forever" (1995) holds the three-day debut record with $52.8 million. "William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet" fell to second place in its second week. The high-voltage, contemporary version of the classic love story earned $9 million. In third place was "Set it Off," a crime drama about four women driven by hardship into robbery. The film, starring rapper Queen Latifah, took in $8.8 million its first weekend.

I'd say that since it is a Wiccan thing it was left by one of the perps...probably "Boots".

I'm not sure I'm following this thread. What is the Romeo & Juliet box all about? I do know there was something about cigars in the transcripts and that's about all I'm getting out of this. Whasssup?

The Santa Bear was not the only thing that was unfamiliar to the Ramseys. I am not sure if that box is the only Romeo and Juliet cigar box out there or if it might have changed over the years - - any cigar smokers out there?

and Kane made a crack about having worked for Customs or some other govt. agency. I don't know why Cigars would be in that particular room, though.

"Santa" has been a recurrent theme in the case: Santa Claus, Santa Visit, Santa Bear, Santa Letter.Hearts seem to have been abundant also. Heart in hand, on photo(?) or atleast same color ink as on hand, heart on cigar box/r&j box, 'heart in hand' symbol of Shakerism (theme of McSanta).

John Ramsey is guilty of sneaking a couple Cuban cigars into the country.I am surprised Kane DIDN'T try to nail him on that.

More likely he merely received a gift from some business acquaintance. I don't think John Ramsey ever travelled to Cuba. But whatever the situation is with a couple of cigars, its not motive for murder.Although I can just see the tabloids "killed to keep her silent about the Great Cigar Smuggling Conspiracy".
