Well the NYC cop was acquitted today. I think the outcome may have been quite different if this had been a jury trial.

I can't help but wonder if his acquittal has anything to do with his 9/11 status? He took the sex photos and the girl was underage. Guilty in my opinion. What kind of message is this sending? :(

February 19, 2004 -- ALBANY, Ore. - An NYPD officer on trial for taking nude photos of an underage girl he later married was acquitted yesterday.
Matthew De Gennaro, 33, of New City in Rockland County, was found not guilty of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct as well as child sex abuse in a trial heard by a judge without a jury.
