Maria posted a couple of comments - I believe she was directing the comments to me since Lou Smit had nothing to do with Don Foster.

Since Maria didn't leave an email address, I want to respond to her here.

First, Maria's comments:

"Please you are an idiot, don;t you think you did enough damage when you made it impossible to use Fosters testimony? NOW you make a tribute to bible thumping idiot boy Lou Smith. YOU should have let the police do the job that was theirs and kept your big nose/mouth out of it. I hope you are happy that a killer got away with this due in part to your role. YOu don;t think it was her mother??? Are you blind, it is fairly apparent why this happened it does not take agenius to figure it out. Someday the truth will come out and I hope you can live with yourself when it does."

My response:

I am not an idiot, but you are entitled to your inaccurate opinion so we will move past the flame.

I am proud of my part in exposing Don Foster and his "work" so that he could not hurt innocent people. The damage I did was to a lynch mob's dubious witness was an honorable and good thing.

I have spent a lot of time with Lou Smit in person. He is a good man, he acts like a true Christian but I never saw him thump a bible or say he would give any God-fearing killer a pass.

I should have let the police do their job? I didn't stop them. I just tried to make sure they did an honest job. And 6 years after the murder when the case went from their hands to the DA's office, I was very pleased because the BPD simply was not up for the task or challenge.

The killer didn't get away with this because of me - - in fact I still hope something I was a party to will help get this solved, the killer identified, exposed and properly punished.
