Jameson,

Enjoy your time away from this seemingly endless and heartbreaking case. I can understand why you would want to take a break, good luck to you in your future endeavors.

As a "temporary" (?) farewell gift to you I would like to present one of my favorite poems about "sight" and wish you "Bon Voyage" in another search for truth.

A lot of people seem concerned about you, and someone even wrote to ask me what was going on. Heck, Braveheart knew before me, and he's always the last to know. Although I'm sure you will be fine, I'm also sure some of us have been a thorn in your side, but never the kind Braveheart!

I will share some of my thoughts and ramblings with you about the forum. I have disagreed with you many times, and sometimes still do, but what the heck, I've enjoyed it. Some have enjoyed flaming the fires, but I never liked that part. I do "like" to debate here at times...it's much easier on the family too. Mikie once wrote I was stubborn "like a bull" or sumthin'. This has been one of the most stubborn groups I've ever worked with, so I feel right at home. Being stubborn can be good. Vacations are good, too.

You've sincerely done a great job documenting the Ramsey case. Hope you can also study up on the Westerfield case. :) It would be fun to see you admit I was right for once, but I sure ain't holding my breath on that one! Be well & happy. Take care of yourself and try to rest. Work hard, but have as much fun as you can, life is way too short. Listen to Summer...and observe the changing leaves of Fall.

If the good Lord is willing, and the creek doesn't rise too high, I'll fly in from time to time to see if everyone is still around & planning the "Victory" party. I hope so. I really want to "see" the day "SBTC" falls to the ground and is put in a nice little steel cage...forever.

Wherever you travel, I hope you find an easy path. Until then I'll hope to attend the Atlanta meeting. I also hope Guppy brings "Crow Pie" to the party for the guests who need it. As I recall, long ago Little Guppy had a good recipe for chicken that could be substituted. I'll bring the pineapple...Jams. So, don't worry.

"Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence..." Desiderata

Always,

American poet John Godfrey Saxe (1816-1887) based the following poem on a fable which was told in India many years ago.

It was six men of Indostan

To learning much inclined,

Who went to see the Elephant

(Though all of them were blind),

That each by observation

Might satisfy his mind

The First approached the Elephant,

And happening to fall

Against his broad and sturdy side,

At once began to bawl:

"God bless me! but the Elephant

Is very like a wall!"

The Second, feeling of the tusk,

Cried, "Ho! what have we here

So very round and smooth and sharp?

To me ’tis mighty clear

This wonder of an Elephant

Is very like a spear!"

The Third approached the animal,

And happening to take

The squirming trunk within his hands,

Thus boldly up and spake:

"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant

Is very like a snake!"

The Fourth reached out an eager hand,

And felt about the knee.

"What most this wondrous beast is like

Is mighty plain," quoth he;

" ‘Tis clear enough the Elephant

Is very like a tree!"

The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,

Said: "E’en the blindest man

Can tell what this resembles most;

Deny the fact who can

This marvel of an Elephant

Is very like a fan!"

The Sixth no sooner had begun

About the beast to grope,

Than, seizing on the swinging tail

That fell within his scope,

"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant

Is very like a rope!"

And so these men of Indostan

Disputed loud and long,

Each in his own opinion

Exceeding stiff and strong,

Though each was partly in the right,

And all were in the wrong!

Moral:

So oft in theologic wars,

The disputants, I ween,

Rail on in utter ignorance

Of what each other mean,

And prate about an Elephant

Not one of them has seen!

PS Keep searching for the truth and you will find it.
