#26, Garotte capstan needed for control

The perp had either pre-entered Ramsey house to measure and calculate crime and obtain availible items to use in crime or items were in every household. But even without pre-entry, the perp was assured that a capstan device could be easily found in the Ramseys house in the kitchen drawers along with writng materials. The specific rope for bondage used was the only unknown item, all other items could have been expected to be found.

The issue of the capstan for greater control of force with the garotte brings one to consider: the garotte was to make the child unconscious, not dead. Dead as an intent needed no such tool to occur.

Unconscious was needed to remove a 45 lb. female child from house through a narrow prairie dog upward visually protected hole to the outside. A stun gun was a less sure for duration of exit but the stun gun was far quicker in all liklyhood for immediate short term unconsciousness at garotting I believe.

Very professional considerations seem to have gone into this crime.

A reasonable conclusion is that something went wrong in the limited strangulation for unconsciousness for transport. Did her heart stop beating? No pulse?
