All two-bit criminals end up in jail and so far we have no info to ever conclude our Ramsey perp has even been arrested.

An explanation for perp writer downplaying intentions is simply not to bring the Ramseys focus away from getting their daughter back from intruder.

A stronger statement as to the BIGGER EVENT of Ramsey for Ramzi would have driven the Ramseys immediately to the Feds. The issue is time for the perp to escape into deep hiding before travel routes detection increases. The perp is very CAUTIOUS by nature to leave room and time so to prevent detection by Ramseys and the police.

The best example is the ransom note placement location, as well as , the basement window as entry and exit point for the intruder. Also again, the use of in house items for the crime is pure caution driven. Avoid detection!
