We can only assume that Laci did or did not know about the boat. It could have been a Christmas surprise and/or she may already have known. It very well could have been a planned surprise for the entire family and a boat may have been what Scott had wanted for years.

Someone searched on the Peterson computer for likely fishing areas information, Scott, Laci, both or ?

In the Modesto area there are a few other choices than Berkley Marina, however salt water may have been what was sought. I was born there, grew up in Modesto and with fishing family went both fresh and salt water fishing for years and the miles traveled then or now to destinations were unimportant.

Peterson researched lakes, reservoirs on computer

5:05 p.m., PST: Scott Peterson researched bodies of water on his home computer - including San Francisco Bay, where the remains of his wife and son were recovered, a technology expert testified this afternoon.

But Modesto police forensic computer investigator Kirk Stockham also acknowledged during the 11th day of testimony in the ongoing preliminary hearing that Peterson had visited sport fishing Web sites as well.
