LACI'S HUBBY ADMITS: I KILLED HER!

FELLOW INMATE CLAIMS SCOTT PETERSON MADE SHOCKING JAILHOUSE CONFESSION!

by David Thompson

synopsis

"I killed my wife--I killed the b----."

This is the spine-chilling jailhouse confession made by Scott Peterson, accused of murdering his pregnant wife Laci, a fellow inmate tells Globe in a world exclusive.

While professing his innocence in court, the salesman admitted several times to slaying Laci, claims James Soares, currently housed with him in the County Jail.

Soares claims that Peterson first told him about the dark secret he's been hiding while the two were in adjoining cells. At the time Soares says, they were sharing glasses of home-made booze, called "pruno" in prison slang, which inmates ferment from fruit. It was four weeks after Peterson's arrest on April 18.

"We were on our third or fourth glass, watching TV, when the news came on about Laci, Soares said when suddently Scott blurted out, "I didn't mean it, Jimbo. I swear to God- I didn't mean to kill my wife. It was an accident."

Soares says that Peterson said he wanted to take his own life over Laci's death. "Scott's voice was filled with emotion," says Soares. "He told me, "I feel like killing myself.. it's killing me inside."

But within three weeks, according to Soares, Peteron's attitude had changed dramatically following a disappointing pre-trail court hearing over the double-murder charge which left him furious. "Scott was in a foul mood," says Soares.

Incredibly Scott started to put the blame on Laci, for his being behind bars. "It's all my wife's fault," "It's her fault I'm in this mess." Then says Soares, Peterson made his bloodcurdling confession, I killed my wife--I killed the b---, I just snapped and I hit her on the head with a club."

Although Scott later said he'd also hit her on the neck, he indicated the head blow probably killed Laci. Soares said Peterson claimed, "I think it was over then, with that one blow. I hated her. I never wanted to have kids.. never! We were arguing and I finnaly snapped. That's why I hit her." Scott said he swung his club and hit her on the neck as well as her head. I got the impression that he hit her more than once and that he had broken her neck."

Soares says he suspects avid golfer Peterson may have used one of his golf clubs to bludgeon Laci. Scott asked Soares, who is fighting for a new trial, if Soares got released would he perform a special task for him.

"At first he asked me to break into the family home he shared with Laci and take his golf clubs." Then, he said I could go along and pick them up when his parents where there." He wanted to make sure I wasn't going to tell anyone they belonged to him.

"It sounded suspicious and told him I wasn't interested. That's when I realized when he said he'd hit Laci with a 'club' he meant a golf club."

Soares admits he's no angel and has commited crimes in the past. He claims he is coming forward now for the first time to talk about Peterson's confession, because he is a marked man after speaking with the GLOBE in September for another interview in which he discussed Scott's drug-taking and gay sex. He says he held off talking about Scott''s confession because he feared for his life. Soares claims he was attacked by a member of a prison gang as retribution for his last interview.

"What Scott did was horrible. I couldn't carry that around inside of me anymore. Even though I broke the convict's code, I fell a lot better." He urges Peterson to do the same and tell the truth. "Scott thinks he's a genius, but in a lot of ways, he's totally stupid."

SCOTT CONVINCED HE'LL FRY FOR LACI'S MURDER

BY DON GENTILE

synopsis

Scott Peterson is so convinced that he'll be convicted of murdering his wife Laci and their unborn child, he's already gathering information about the life he can expect on Death Row.

And he has been told by another inmate that it will be brutal and brief - he'll probably be knifed to death long before he's executed!

Peterson's questions about California's notorious San Quentin Prison where 600 prisoners await execution by gas or lethal injection- are being answered by a convict housed two doors down from him at the Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto.

The inmate, Jesus Cianez "Jesse" Hernandez, was recently transfered to the jail from San Quentin's Death Row, after he won an appeal of his sentence for the 1998 murder of a prostitute.

"Scott has been having conversations with him through openings in their cell doors," said a source close to the case.

"The first questions Scott asked was 'What's San Quentin like?" "When I get to Death Row, what can I expect?"

Peterson seemed extremely worried about going to San Quentin- and with good reason, said the source.

"Jesse told Scott that the inmates on Death Row know all about Laci's murder and that he should expect BIG trouble.

"Jesse said some of the inmates feel it may actually be OK to kill a woman, depending on the circumstances."

"But murdering his unborn son Conner is different. For that, unless he's protected, one of them will probably knife him to death!"

If Scott has any doubts about Jesse's view of life as a dead man walking, all he has to do is look at his future jailmate, Richard Allen Davis, who is on death row for the murder of Polly Klaas. Davis was assulted by another inmate recently, an attack to the head that left him with stitches and recurring dizziness.

"Wait and see what happens to Peterson. Someone is going to get him one way or the other," Jesse told the close source.

And that may not be the only reason Peterson will have to fight for his life on Death Row. He's likely to battle the other inmates over his mistress!

Although Scott never mentions his wife Laci, Jesse told the source Scott got furious when he told him that the lifers think his girlfriend Amber Frey is a "bag whore."
That's the term they use for women who get high on methamphetamine or crank, as it's called on the streets.

"Jesse told Scott a lot of inmates on Death Row have used crank and know women
who use it and what it does to their looks," said the source. "He told Scott that the inmates have seen Amber on TV and think she fits the bill because she's skinny and emaciated-looking."

There is no evidence Amber has used drugs.

Scott told Jesse to shut his mouth, said the source. But he may not be so tough when he gets to the Big House. "Scott better not defend Amber when he gets to San Quentin, Jesse told Scott that wouldn't be a good thing to do. His wife Laci was a much better looking woman then Amber.

In other developments that could make Scott's fears about San Quentin a reality, prosecutors in the murder case revealed that damning testimony from one of his neighbors will be introduced at his trail.

Kristen Dempewolf was hypnotized under police supervision, to jog her memory of events on Dec.24, last year, the day Laci vanished.

Dempewolf, according to reports, saw Scott loading or unloading something into his pick-up truck.

The Globe shows shackled inmate James Soares (above) giving an interview to a reporter about the behind bars activities of accused murderer Scott Peterson.

Wonderful wizard of ‘Oz’
One of the tabloids is convinced that Scott Peterson is living a sex-crazed, drug-fueled life behind bars.

AFTER SO MANY seasons of HBO’s hit prison series “Oz,” the world may be convinced that life behind bars is all about drugs, murder and gay sex.

According to the tabloid Globe, that is just the life being lived by SCOTT PETERSON, who is behind bars in Modesto, Calif. awaiting trial on charges that he killed his wife LACI PETERSON and their unborn son.

The tab talked to inmate number 534993, also known as James Soares, who is housed in the cell next to Peterson’s. Soares, who is behind bars for the kidnapping and assault of his girlfriend, claims that Peterson never shows remorse for his alleged crimes, has been taking the drug ecstasy, and has been engaging in same-sex fellatio.

“They say it was a big, beefy guy who was threatening Scott since his first day in jail …They say Scott was on his bed in his jail cell and the man thrust his crotch up against the open bars and ordered him to perform sex … Scott panicked and obeyed him out of fear for his life,” Soares told the paper.

After the incident, according to Soares, Peterson complained to prison officials and they tightened security around his cell.

The Globe reported back in June that Peterson had picked up a transvestite outside a Modesto gay bar and received oral sex, so who knows why being on the other end of the act has upset Peterson so.

Although it makes for interesting reading, I seriously doubt Scott would be stupid enough to tell his fellow inmates that he killed Laci. Mainly because he is a pathological liar (IMO)....he probably "believes" his own lies....

This is probably just some attention-seeking guy who wants his name in the paper.....

If we want to believe in the the lies of the Globe or other 'rag mags', BUY it!
This thread is upsetting, dragging another forum post 'with permission to post' doesn't make it right, links okay but the title of this thread is lies. It's libelous = involving or constituting a libel; defamatory

   Well, sorry about the trash.

Plenty of times in forums and in this forum, articles have been printed from the NE and STar and other tabloids... why does this particular article envoke such a response?

I don't know that I believe that he would admit to killing Laci or not, but it is being reported on the net and in the mags.

If it is libelous then I will remove it, no problem. But I thought some would like to know what is being printed out there. IT is on newstands, in regular newspapers and so on. It isn't as though I am saying that he made the statements.

The post is the synopsis of a story that is appearing in a tabloid. It may be libelous in that Scott may be the victim of a fraud BUT we are not guilty of libel if we are reporting all the news that is happening in the case and this IS news.

I am sure many will question the truthful nature of the man who is telling the story - - he is, after all, a convict - - but I am equally sure that the authorities are on this now and will check things out.

Would Scott talk in jail? Maybe. He sure wouldn't be the first.

But I have to wonder if he would say what is reported here. I would think he might be a bit more.... coy about it.

Comments?

I have to wonder, did he really make the comments?

Scott has been portrayed by even the closest of family and friends to be a "smooth talker"... Maybe, if this is the case, he wanted to make himself seem sneaky, or ingenius in the other prisoners eyes. I am sure that it is not coming out the way I want it to, but maybe he is trying to make himself "look good" in the eyes of other killers or criminals... be the tough guy and so on. Or maybe he just made the mistake of making a "jailhouse confession" to someone he thought wouldn't say anything, or it could be that he hoped that person would come forward, so that ANYTHING that prisoner said would be disregarded or looked at as the ramblings of a convict that shouldn't be listened to.

Personally, I would like to know more about this.

Did Scott find himself put in a situation where he felt he had to brag, to be big and bold and bad, to fit in? I don't know.

I do know that this story isn't influencing me much - the evidence so far makes Scott a really strong suspect in my mind but this story isn't impressing me a whole lot.

I am interested in the golf clubs... were they taken by police to be tested for Laci's blood?

The story raises questions for me.

It won't be the breaker of the case of course, but are the golf clubs the key? Did they hit break her neck? Wouldn't a broken neck make it even easier for the head to break away after decomposition?

Momof6, thank you for taking the time to post this. You're right, other forums have articles from rag mags posted, so why is this different? It's not different. All we can do is wait and see what comes out in court, but this makes for an interesting story.

My interest in this article, is mainly the golf clubs.

Not so much the "confession" but that supposedly, Scott wanted his golf clubs out of reach of MPD. To have this inmate, get out of prison, break in to the Covena ave, and steal the clubs, and then later to say to get them from his parents, when the parents are at his house. Do his parents know anything about these clubs? Would they have prior knowledge of giving these clubs to the inmate?

They stepped up and said, No, Scott couldn't have met those men at the club, he was at our house. Are they covering for him? Did Scott, after being arrested, tell his parents to give the clubs to someone if they came asking for them?

Do the police have the clubs? After all, wasn't Scott arrested at a golf course? Did they seize the clubs then? Did Scott purchase new clubs before he was arrested? Or was he golfing that day with the same clubs?

Or, maybe it is just nothing at all... personally, I think the cops should test the clubs.

Scott would have gotten rid of the club long before he was ever arrested.

Here's another thought: They don't have Laci's head. How would they know what object was used. That makes no sense.

If there is blood or dna, or tissue on the end of the golf club, that could establish a weapon.

If he did indeed break her neck with the golf club, it would make it easier for the head to come off the body during decomposition...

I would imagine that if he did use a golf club, that he got rid of it, but evidence could be in the golf bag, but if he would have gotten rid of the club, why would he want someone to steal the clubs long after he was put in jail...? Unless the actual club was still in the bag.

Most murderers who take the time to get rid of the body would also get rid of the weapon or at least wipe it clean. He can't be a complete idiot.

I doubt very seriously, Scott will EVER admit to killing Laci, let alone to a jailhouse snitch.

It was all over the tv about Scott being an avid Golfer..I'm sure that's where this guy got the idea. I don't believe him.

...if the story is true the golf clubs may have been a gift to Scott from Laci and that may be why he wants them before they are abscounded, stolen, or sold.

Well, I couldn't see him keeping the clubs if he actually did kill Laci, but you never know.

There is still so much unknown about this case. I am anxious for the preliminary so that we can start sorting through the evidence.

As far as the inmate and believing him... I don't know if I do or not. I do know that most informants are criminals or connected to them somehow. My mind says that I shouldn't believe him, and I sure know that I really don't want to believe that Scott would kill his own wife and unborn baby, but I just don't really see anything else that is remotely believable at this point., unfortunately, what I have seen or heard, leads me to believe that Scott did indeed kill his wife and unborn child.

tells me he is guilty. I wish it weren't true.

I've thought from the beginning that he was lying. As soon as I heard about the dog wandering around on the leash, it reeked of a set-up.

I've never believed a word he's said.
