   I believe Scott was being truthful (well, partly) when he said he had nothing to do with Laci's "disappearance". In a sense he may have convinced himself, like all good lying sociapaths can, that since he didn't actually do it himself, he wasn't involved.

I believe he hired a hitman to kidnap and kill Laci. Maybe the quick sell of her car and home were to pay off the killer(s). Knowing he would recieve a hefty life insurance policy later on.

I believe he simply wanted to be free and did not want to be a father with responsibilty. I don't think he cared at all about Amber and it had nothing to do with her. It was all about Scottie and him wanting his freedom. JMO!

He is pure evil.

   If you take Scott's apparent personality (and of course none of us garnering our info from news accounts can ever TRULY know his personality), it would make sense that he would hire someone to rid him of wife and baby, rather than do it himself.

I'm still not convinced that is what happened, but it is entirely plausible.

My theory is that he was seriously considering ridding himself of Laci, he was infact making preparations to do just that, but something happened between them that pushed the matter into his own hands...in other words, he killed her himself, but he may have had help in disposing of her body....

   I just heard a little blurb on the TV from our local news. Said something about new allegations against Scott Peterson. They are running it at 4pm our time. I'm sure it's probably these articles. Our news here in Southern Ca is usually late in reporting. This board seems to post news and articles much faster.
